Overview

Founded in 1960, the Ministère du Plan et du Développement (MPD) of Côte d'Ivoire is a government ministry responsible for the development and implementation of the country's economic and social policies. It is responsible for the formulation of the national development plan, the coordination of sectoral policies, the monitoring of the implementation of the national development plan and the evaluation of the results of the national development plan.

The MPD is also responsible for the coordination of the country's international cooperation and the promotion of foreign investment. It is also responsible for the coordination of the country's macroeconomic policies, the monitoring of the implementation of the national budget and the evaluation of the results of the national budget.

The MPD plays an important role in higher education in Côte d'Ivoire.
