Founded in 1951, the Ministry of Science, Research and the Arts of Baden-Württemberg (Ministerium für Wissenschaft, Forschung und Kunst Baden-Württemberg) is a government ministry responsible for the development and implementation of policies related to science, research and the arts in the German state of Baden-Württemberg. Its main tasks include:
- Developing and implementing policies related to higher education, scientific research and the arts.
- Overseeing and managing public universities, research institutions, museums and other cultural institutions.
- Supporting and promoting scientific research and innovation.
- Developing policies and initiatives related to international cooperation in education and research.
The Ministry of Science, Research and the Arts of Baden-Württemberg works to ensure that all citizens of Baden-Württemberg have access to quality education and training opportunities, as well as opportunities for scientific research, artistic expression and international cooperation. It seeks to promote the development of a skilled and knowledgeable workforce, as well as the advancement of scientific research and innovation in the state. Additionally, the Ministry may collaborate with other government agencies and organizations to achieve these goals, including the Federal Ministry of Education and Research and the German National Academy of Sciences Leopoldina.
