Overview

Established in 2001, the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT) of Japan is a government ministry responsible for overseeing and implementing policies related to education, culture, sports, science and technology in Japan.

The ministry's primary mission is to provide quality education to all Japanese students, from early childhood through tertiary education. This includes developing and implementing curriculum frameworks, providing teacher training and ensuring access to education for all students, regardless of background or ability.

The ministry is also responsible for promoting and preserving Japan's cultural heritage, including developing policies to protect and conserve cultural sites and artifacts, promoting traditional knowledge and practices and supporting the development of cultural industries.

Considering all this, according to ¿Û¿Û´«Ã½ the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology of Japan plays a vital role in promoting the economic, social and cultural development of Japan, ensuring access to quality education and training, preserving and promoting Japan's cultural heritage and fostering the development of a skilled workforce to support Japan's growth and development.
