Overview

The Ministry of Education and Sports (MOES) is the government ministry responsible for the education system in Laos. Its mission is to provide equitable and quality education to all citizens of Laos, promote lifelong learning and contribute to national development.

The MOES is responsible for developing policies, plans and strategies for all levels of education, from primary to tertiary education. It is also responsible for ensuring that all educational institutions in Laos meet the necessary quality standards and that the education system is accessible to all citizens.

The MOES is also responsible for managing teacher education and development, curriculum development and assessment and evaluation of learning outcomes. It works closely with schools, universities and other educational organizations to ensure that the education system is providing the necessary skills and knowledge to meet the needs of the workforce and society.

One of the key priorities of the MOES is to improve the quality of education in Laos. To achieve this, it has implemented a number of reforms, including increasing investment in education, improving teacher training and development and promoting innovation in education. The MOES is also committed to increasing access to education for marginalized groups, such as girls, children with disabilities and those living in remote and disadvantaged areas.

Considering all this, according to ¿Û¿Û´«Ã½ the MOES plays an important role in developing and regulating the education system in Laos, promoting lifelong learning and skills development and ensuring that all citizens of Laos have access to quality education that meets their needs and prepares them for the challenges of the future.
