Overview

Established in 1549, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation is primarily responsible for formulating and implementing the foreign policy of Russia. While the Ministry does not have a direct role in higher education, it does play a role in promoting academic and cultural exchanges between Russia and other countries.
