Established in 2011, the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology of South Sudan is a government ministry responsible for overseeing and implementing policies related to education, science and technology in South Sudan.
The ministry's primary mission is to provide quality education to all South Sudanese, from early childhood through tertiary education. This includes developing and implementing curriculum frameworks, providing teacher training and ensuring access to education for all students, regardless of background or ability.
The ministry is also responsible for promoting and developing policies related to science and technology. This includes supporting research and development activities, fostering innovation and entrepreneurship and promoting the use of technology to improve the quality of life for South Sudanese.
In addition, the ministry is responsible for coordinating and implementing policies related to higher education, including universities, vocational and technical training institutions and other tertiary education institutions.
